As Seen On TV

Hey, Sugar! cookies made their TV debut yesterday on The 10! Show on NBC in Philadelphia.  We must say, they looked absolutely beautiful!!  Dannielle Kyrillos of "Top Chef: Just Desserts" and Daily Candy editor gives our strawlemons a huge shout out!  Her and Bill Henley even have some playful bantor with our name Hey, Sugar!  Keep your ears open for "sugar britches," it's our absolute favorite part of the segment!  We are mentioned near the end of the segment, but if you watch you can see our logo the whole on the table of sweets, yum!

Forbidden Fruit Cupcake…Rich chocolate cake, pomegranate ganache filling, and pomegranate Italian buttercream frosting. 

We made these for a bachelorette party and they turned out so beautiful and got rave reviews.  To tie in the bride's culture and at the same time make cupcakes fitting for a sexy party, we thought of pomegranate. They are often thought of as the true forbidden fruit of Eve's garden and in Jewish culture they symbolize fruitfulness.  Pair that with chocolate, the ultimate modern temptation, and there you have it, a totally sexy, tempting cupcake perfect for a bachelorette party flirting with sin!

Carmels, ice cream and empenada's...a few of our favorite things, besides cookies of course! Since coming online, Hey, Sugar! has met some of the coolest food entreprenuers! We want to give a shout out to some seriously yummy treats!

City Caramels - Super yummy caramels inspired by Chicago's neighborhoods...we love the Old Town Caramel!
Nicecream - We ran into Nicecream at a tasting...so good..we couldn't help but buy the Blueberry Pie Ice Cream...

Getting to know the gourment food industry in Chicago has been one of our favorite parts about starting our baking business! Each one of these companies has cool people behind it, people who were willing to give Hey, Sugar! a few words of much appreciated advice. We wish them success!

We are very proud to present to you our brand new and very spiffy e-commerce site! Let's take a step back in time and spend a few moments on how we got here.

Close your eyes and imagine it's the summer of '09...an almost young women wins a baking contest with her strawberry lemonade snickerdoodles. She's proud but mostly it pushes her with that little bit of extra motivation she needed to start something, her own bakery business. She'll call it Hey, Sugar!

Now fast forward to the holiday season. Hey, Sugar! gets several holiday orders, well let's say more than several. The orders add up to over 6000 cookies. Wow, it worked! What's next??? A web site!

And here we are, on-line and totally excited for it. We've been working hard to get you the best tasting cookies on the prettiest web site. We hope you really like it!
